Dortmund extended their casualty list as Nuri Sahin and Sven Bender suffered injuries during Sunday's 0-1 loss to Leverkusen, club doctor Markus Braun announced.
Midfielder Sahin picked up a partial ligament tear in his right knee. He will be doubtful for the upcoming UEFA Champions League encounter with Olympique de Mareseille, reports Xinhua.
Defensive midfielder Bender will be definitely ruled out for the last game in group F, owing to a strained tendon in his right ankle as well as a bleeding into the tendon sheaths.
The duo extends thus Dortmund's injury list besides Marcel Schmelzer, and long term injured Neven Subotic, Mats Hummels and Ilkay Guendogan.
However, the "BVB" fights for their last 16 berth when they clash with Olympique de Marseille Wednesday.
