British singer-songwriter Boy George is devastated after his good friend, Alice Shaw, committed suicide.
George took to Twitter to express grief at Shaw's tragic death, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"My long time friend Alice Shaw took her own life. I am struggling with this. I'm devastated but I need to say how much I loved her," George tweeted.
The "Karma chameleon" hitmaker soon received an outpouring of messages of support from his followers.
Hours earlier, Shaw wrote on her own Twitter page: "Please know I am more at peace now than I have been in a very long time and there is nothing anyone could have done".
She accompanied her sad words with a photograph which said "Au Revoir Mon" and had a little black heart attached.
