Brazil's victory over Argentina in a friendly match has extinguished the memory of their 1-7 humiliating FIFA World Cup semi-final loss to Germany, said the country's football federation (CBF).
The CBF published a newspaper-style article on its official website Monday praising Dunga's team for the 2-0 victory over the Albiceleste in Beijing Saturday, reports Xinhua.
Under the headline "Dunga erases the Mineirazo", the CBF cited international newspaper reports heralding the dawn of a new era for Brazilian football.
The humiliating defeat in game was subsequently referred to by the Brazilian media as the 'Mineirazo'.
Saturday's result followed victories for Dunga's team against Colombia and Ecuador last month.
"Brazil has won three matches in a row without conceding a goal," the CBF said.
"Only three players who started in the 1-7 defeated began the match against Argentina."
Dunga took charge of the Selecao for a second time after the sacking of Luiz Felipe Scolari after the World Cup in July.
The Selecao's defeat to Germany at Belo Horizonte's Mineirao stadium equalled the team's worst ever losing margin.
It was followed by a 0-3 loss to the Netherlands in the battle for third place.
