Britain observed a minute's silence on Tuesday to mark the 10th anniversary of the 2005 London bombings which killed 56 people.

A service was held at St. Paul's Cathedral in London in the memory of those killed in explosions in three tube trains and a bus -- carried out by four suicide bombers linked to Al Qaeda -- in London on July 7, 2005, BBC reported.

Survivors of the attacks and relatives of the victims were present at the ceremony.

The names of all of those who died were read out before the silence was observed.

Earlier in the morning, Prime Minister David Cameron and London Mayor Boris Johnson laid wreaths at July 7 Memorial at Hyde Park. Another service will be held at the memorial later.
