BSE launches data on macro-economic indicators

Stock exchange major BSE on Tuesday announced the launch of high-frequency data on unemployment and consumer sentiments in India.

According to BSE, the high-frequency data on unemployment and consumer sentiments has been launched in association with the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) and the University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research, Survey Research Centre.

The stock market major added that these indicators are expected to help policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs, academia, the media and the public at large to get a better grip of macro-economic status of the Indian economy.
