Cairn India announced a sponsorship deal with the Champions Trophy 2014 that will be held here Dec 6-14.
Champions Trophy 2014 comes at the back of recent strong performances by the Indian national team in the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and the Australian test series, and will be sponsored by Cairn India, the current co-sponsor of the Indian national hockey team.
In its endeavour to encourage the sport and recognise the sporting champions, the company will also give a special award titled 'Cairn India - Most Energetic Indian Player of the Tournament'.
This award will be given to the Indian player who makes the maximum impact in the tournament.
