Digital imaging company, Canon India on Tuesday said it is aiming to capture 10 percent of the Indian projection market by 2017.
"Projection requirements of Indian customers have evolved over the years. Apart from being used for projecting data, customers are now using it to project movies, videos and games as well. The new Canon projectors are equipped with high quality optics to cater to such needs. We will be reaching out to potential customers across all the major metros and aim to capture 10 percent market share by 2017," the company's president and CEO in India, Kazutada Kobayashi said in a statement.
It recently launched nine projectors.
The company's revenues in 2014 grew by six percent at Rs.2,026 crore.
