Carlos Henrique joins Real Madrid

Real Madrid confirmed the permanent signing of Brazilian midfielder Carlos Henrique (Casimiro) on a four-season deal on Monday.

The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with Real Madrid from Sao Paulo, making 15 appearances for the club's B-team in the Spanish second division and playing one game in the BBVA Primera Liga for the first team, reports Xinhua.

Real Madrid reportedly paid around 6 million euros for the services of the midfielder, who will now be promoted to form a permanent part of the club's first team squad.

Casimiro is the club's second signing ahead of the new season and follows another former B-team player, Javier Carvajal, who returned to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on a deal thought to be worth around 8 million euros from Bayer Leverkusen last week.

Real Madrid have still to name their first team coach for the coming campaign but reports in Spain continue to say that Carlo Ancelotti will replace Jose Mourinho, who was officially presented as Chelsea coach on Monday, as soon as he is able to negotiate a way out of the remaining year of his contract with French Champions, Paris Saint Germain.

There has been more movement in Spain at the start of the week with Mallorca, who were relegated on the last day of the season, naming Jose Luis Oltra as the man in charge of taking them back to the top flight.

Oltra was sacked as coach of Deportivo la Coruna midway through this campaign as Deportivo's season also ended in relegation, but he is known as a man able to get sides promoted to the Primera Liga having already succeeded in the task with Levante, Tenerife and Deportivo in the season before last.

Deportivo last week confirmed Fernando Vazquez as their coach for the next two campaign as a reward for Vazquez working a minor miracle in the last third of the season and taking the club to within a whisker of avoiding the drop only for the club to suffer relegation after a last day defeat to Real Sociedad.

Meanwhile Betis have confirmed they have signed Danish international goalkeeper Stephan Anderson, who replaced Adriano following the latter's transfer to West Ham United in England.

Malaga have agreed a permanent deal for Chilean international midfielder, Pedro Morales, who spent half of last season on loan at the club, while finally Valencia have decided against extending the contract of their veteran captain, David Albelda for a further season.

The decision means the end of 18 seasons at the club for the 35-year-old, who apart from two years on loan at nearby Villarreal spent his entire career as a Valencia player helping them win two league titles and Spanish Cup, the UEFA Cup and the 2004 European Supercup.
