Carlsen is World Chess Champion

Norwegian challenger Magnus Carlsen was crowned the new World Chess Champion as he beat defending champion Viswanathan Anand 6.5-3.5 here Friday.

The 10th game ended in a draw giving Carlsen the needed half point -- and also the coveted world crown.
