Catania eye Brazilian midfielder Adryan

Catania have confirmed their interest in signing highly rated Brazilian teenager Adryan.

The Italian Serie A club has been watching the midfielder since he made his debut for Flamengo in Brazil's top flight last year, reports Xinhua.

"Adryan is a player we like and who we are keeping an eye on. We will wait to see what happens. First we have to look at our own situation and see who is leaving to have an idea of how much we can spend," Catania president Antonino Pulvirenti said.

Adryan has represented Brazil at both Under-17 and Under-20 level. Any deal for the 18-year-old would need to be negotiated with both Flamengo, which holds 70 percent of the player's economic rights, and his agent Reinaldo Pitta, who owns 30 percent.
