Uruguay international goalkeeper Martin Silva and Paraguayan midfielder Eduardo Aranda have been cleared to play for Brazilian club Vasco da Gama.

The pair, signed by Vasco from Paraguay's Olimpia Jan 6, had their registration with Brazil's football confederation (CBF) delayed by "bureaucratic issues", reports Xinhua.

The pair can now line up for Vasco against Friburguense Sunday at the Sao Januario stadium in Rio de Janeiro's state championship.

Both players were part of the Olimpia side that made the final of last year's Copa Libertadores, which they lost to Brazil's Atletico Mineiro in a penalty shootout.

Silva was the backup to Uruguay's first-choice goalkeeper Fernando Muslera during the Confederations Cup last June. Aranda has made one international appearance for Paraguay.
