The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday said it has registered a case against A.K. Yadav, Joint Chief Controller of Explosive, Petroleum and Explosive Safety Organization and two others in a corruption case.
The CBI has also booked D. Sakthivel of AR & Co. Perambalur and middleman, Kumaresan of Centaur Consultant, Chennai along with Yadav, under the provision of Prevention of Corruption Act
According to CBI, Yadav had demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 30,000 from Sakthivel, for issuance of license under the Explosives Act.
Both Yadav and Sakthivel were intercepted by the CBI team and have been arrested.
Searches have been made at 11 places including at Chennai, Jaipur, Chandigarh and others, the CBI said.
