The CBI on Wednesday searched the residence of former Noida chief engineer Yadav Singh in its probe against him for corruption and irregularities, officials said.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had sealed his residence in Noida sector 51, which was found locked during its raid on Tuesday.

The CBI conducted searches at 16 locations on Tuesday, including 13 at Noida and Greater Noida and one each at Agra, Lucknow and Firozabad cities in Uttar Pradesh.

During its raid, the CBI found incriminating documents, including details of shell companies, bank accounts, financial transactions and some important official files relating to cases against Singh and others.

The CBI on Tuesday registered two cases against Singh on the directions of the Allahabad High Court.

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on July 16 ordered a CBI probe into charges of corruption and irregularities against Singh.
