All India Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 results of all 10 regions were announced on Saturday with girls again performing better than boys.
Thiruvananthapuram recorded the highest pass percentage with 99.87 as compared to other regions.
As per the CBSE, the pass percentage of girls stood at 96.36 compared with boys which was 96.11.
Around 14,91,293 students had appeared for the examination that began on March 1 and concluded on March 28.
This year an increase of 8.5 percent candidates registration was recorded with the education board as compared to last year.
According to the CBSE, 96.21 percent students have cleared the exam this year as against last year, wherein 97.32 percent students passed the examination.
