The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on Thursday approved continuation of several tertiary healthcare programmes for non-communicable diseases and e-Health upto 2020 with an outlay of Rs 2,551.15 crore.
These include strengthening of tertiary care cancer facilities scheme, the National Programme for Health Care of the Elderly, the National Programme for Prevention and Management of Trauma and Burn Injuries, the National Programme for Tobacco Control and Drug Addiction Treatment, the National Mental Health Programme, the National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment and the Programme for Strengthening of e-Health and Telemedicine Services, an official statement said.
