Wearing saffron caps and t-shirts with BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's portrait, hundreds of party supporters burst firecrackers at its state party office as trends showed a clear sweep of all the seven seats for the party in the national capital.

Delhi BJP chief Harsh Vardhan credited the good performance of the party to Modi.

"Modi's vision and our party's strategy has led us to victory. It was Modi's magic that has acted as a catalyst for the party workers and leaders," Vardhan told IANS.

"We are very happy with the results," a beaming Vardhan added.

He shared sweets with party workers who danced wildly on drum beats and had come to the state party office in 14, Pandit Pant Marg in central Delhi since early morning.

Large crowd started streaming in once it became clear that BJP was winning all the seven seats. While the AAP stood at second position, the Congress was trailing in the third position. In 2009, Congress had won all the seven seats.

Poori-sabji was also distributed among the gathered crowd, including policemen and media persons at the party office.

Similar scenes were also witnessed in the party headquarters in 11, Ashoka Road where dancers in their traditional dresses danced outside on the road, leading to minor road blockade.
