Celebrities urge fans to protect, conserve environment

On the occasion of World Environment Day, which falls on June 5, members of Hindi film fraternity like Madhuri Dixit Nene, Arjun Kapoor and Dia Mirza took the virtual route to urge thier fans to protect the environment and leave behind a greener planet.

The celebrities and cricketers took to Twitter to share thier views. Here is what the star tweeted:

Sachin Tendulkar: On this World Environment Day, let us make an effort to protect nature and leave behind a greener planet.

Shekhar Kapur: If we don't stop our glaciers from retreating Ganga will be a seasonal river. World Environment Day.

Madhuri Dixit Nene: Let us pledge for a better tomorrow, nurture our nature for future generations.

Virat Kohli: Hey Guys, it is World Environment Day. I have planted a sapling. Have you? Urban Green.

Arjun Kapoor: We don't have a planet B. So let's protect and conserve the environment. World Environment Day.

Shekhar Ravjiani: It is time we change our behaviour before the world as we know it changes irrevocably.

Armaan Malik: Today its World Environment Day, so let us pledge to do our bit to reduce pollution.

Dia Mirza: The survival of the forest is integral to the survival of our rivers. Ganga the soul of India. Making Kulhars or clay cups. Made by hand. Sustainable and eco friendly. India knows the way!

Kunal Kapur: No contribution is small, let us do our bit in protecting nature and our Earth. Our resources are depleting...the climate is changing...the signs are clear. But we don't seem to be seeing them.
