Mohammedan Sporting were held to a goalless draw by Army XI in a Calcutta Football League (CFL) premier division tie here on Tuesday.
After nine matches, Sporting are fourth on the league table with 15 points while Army end their campaign with 19 points and are presently second on the points table.
Sporting still have a match at hand, and they would look to cement a spot in the top three with East Bengal having already secured the title.
Both sides played pacy football throughout the match but failed to break the deadlock. The better chances fell for Sporting but poor finishing from their forwards didn't help them much.
