A two-year-old girl was burnt to death while her parents were grievously injured in a fire at their house here Thursday, police said.
Sofia's charred body was found inside the house in north Delhi's Malkaganj area Thursday evening.
Her father Sajid, 30, who worked in a factory, and mother, 27, were admitted to a hospital with more than 50 percent burn injuries, police said.
According to the Delhi Fire Service officials, a call was reported around 5:15 p.m. Two fire tenders were pressed into service and the fire was controlled within half an hour.
Police said an electrical short circuiting seemed to have caused the blaze.
