A four-year-old child fell into a 100-feet deep borewell while playing in a field on Friday morning and excavators were pressed into service to rescue her in Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain district.
The incident occurred as a labourer Mahesh Rajput along with his wife and child was working in the field. Suddenly, his son fell into an open borewell.
An official told IANS that the child was stuck at a depth of 28 feet and there was some movement of his body. JCB and Pokland machines were being used to bring the child out safely.
