Cuiabá (Brazil), June 13 (IANS/EFE) Chile's boss Jorge Sampaoli said that his team cannot wait to face Australia in their 2014 FIFA World Cup opener here Friday evening.
The Argentine coach said that his team is yearning to begin their campaign in Brazil and he is proud of his committed players, reports EFE.
Sampaoli added that Chile will not change their philosophy and playing style which depends on the acquisition of the ball.
About the condition of midfielder Arturo Vidal, Sampaoli said that the decision of picking Vidal for the game will be taken shortly before the game, pointing out the player is in good condition to play.
Vidal underwent a knee surgery in May after sustaining an injury to be able to play in the World Cup.
About Chile's group, which also includes Spain and Netherlands, Sampaoli added that they do not feel pressured before the game.
