The national capital experienced a second consecutive chilly day on Saturday as cold winds blew, bringing down the maximum temperature three notches below the season's average at 17.2 degrees Celsius, while the sky remained cloudy, the Met office said. Sunday is likely to be similar.

"There may be shallow fog on Sunday morning while the sky would remain partly cloudy throughout the day," said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 19 and 9 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Saturday's minimum temperature settled at 11 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average.

As the visibility on Saturday morning was recorded 1,500 metres, it could not affect on the arrival and departure of trains and flights.

Friday's minimum temperature settled two notches above the season's average at 9.6 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 15.6 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season's average.
