There was no let up in the chill in Delhi Tuesday despite the day becoming sunny after a foggy start with the maximum temperature recorded five notches below average at 16.3 degrees Celsius. The met department has forecast similar weather Wednesday.
According to the India Meteorological Department, the sky will be clear Wednesday after fog in the morning.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 17 and 8 degrees Celsius respectively.
The minimum temperature Tuesday was two notches below average at 6 degrees Celsius.
Though the movement of over 50 trains was affected due to fog, air services ran smooth. Dense fog had affected the movement of nearly 100 flights Monday which was the coldest Dec 22 in five years.
