China blasts toll rises to 116

The death toll in the deadly blasts in a warehouse in China rose to 116 on Friday while 60 people are still missing, rescue headquarters said.

All of the victims were identified via DNA matching, Xinhua cited the headquarters as saying.

Of the dead, 65 were firefighters, and seven were police officers. Among the missing, 39 are firefighters while four are confirmed to be police officers.

The blasts took place on August 12 in a warehouse in Tianjin city of China.
