China rains leave one dead, 15 missing

At least one person died while 15 went missing in China's Sichuan province Tuesday after severe rainstorms battered the region, including some quake-stricken areas, authorities said.

The province has been witnessing rainstorms since Monday evening.

Rain-triggered flooding has left four people from the quake-hit counties of Beichuan, Anxian and Qingchuan, missing, reported Xinhua citing the provincial flood control and drought relief office.
