China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) has started recruiting student-pilots for 2016 at 16 aeronautical schools as part of a larger military plan to train pilots with the help of civilian schools.
According to PLA, student-pilots should be between 14 and 16 years old, the Global Times reported on Tuesday.
Applicants will undergo physical, mental and behavioural tests over one and a half days, to determine whether they have the potential.
Candidates will also have to pass a political evaluation, and those who fare well on a junior high school graduation test in June will be chosen.
