A couple has been arrested from Kolkata for keeping heroin and selling it to secret clients, police said on Tuesday.
Sisir Sharma, 27, was arrested with his wife Jhuma Sharma, 30, from Entally in Central Kolkata on Monday evening for possession of illegal drugs.
"Approximately 50 grams of heroin was seized from them," Joint Commissioner of Kolkata Police (Crime) Vishal Gurg said.
The officer said the couple used to smuggle heroin into the city and sell them to the secret clients.
"The two accused are remanded to police custody till January 30," he added.
