City Union Bank posts Rs 140 crore profit

Privately owned City Union Bank on Wednesday said it closed the first quarter of the current fiscal with a net profit of Rs 140 crore.

In a statement issued here, the bank said it had earned a net profit of Rs 140 crore for the period ended June 30, 2017, up from Rs 124 crore earned during the corresponding period of the previous year.

The bank said its net interest income for the period under review stood at Rs 342 crore, up from Rs 280 crore posted for the period ended June 30, 2016.
