The capital experienced muggy weather Monday as the skies remained partly cloudy. The maximum temperature settled a notch above the season's average at 35 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast light rain Tuesday.
"Some parts of the capital may get light rain tomorrow (Tuesday)," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures Tuesday are expected to hover around 34 and 25 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Monday's minimum temperature was recorded at 25.3 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average. The maximum humidity settled at 92 percent.
Sunday's maximum temperature settled a notch above average at 34.9 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 22.7 degrees -- two notches below the season's average.
