It was a cloudy and pleasant Wednesday for Delhi residents as they celebrated Janmashtami, birthday of Lord Krishna. The met office has forecast light rains Thursday.
"The sky will be cloudy tomorrow (Thursday) and few spells of rain may occur in some parts of the city," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures Thursday will hover around 34 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively, the official added.
According to IMD, Wednesday's maximum temperature settled at 33.7 degrees Celsius normal for this time of the year and the minimum temperature was a notch above average at 26.5 degrees Celsius.
The humidity levels wavered between a high of 71 percent and a low of 60 percent.
Since the arrival of the monsoon, the city has recorded 762.6 mm of rainfall.
