Compared to the targeted production, the actual mining volume from its largest subsidiary, South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL), fell short by four percent while the second largest subsidiary Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) could achieve 96 percent of the target for the month. Production during the last two months from these units, however grew by 13.6 and 12.8 percent.
