The Coast Guard rescued six fishermen on board a vessel stranded at sea off Devi river near Odisha's Puri district, an officer said on Monday.
"Following a technical snag, fishing boat Mahadeva-I with six crew members got stranded at sea due to rough weather conditions. We immediately diverted Indian Coast Guard Ship Amogh on Sunday for rescuing the crew and the vessel," a Coast Guard spokesperson said.
"Our ship towed the disabled boat to Paradip and all six crew were safe. The entire operation was monitored by Coast Guard regional headquarters (Northeast), Kolkata," added the officer.
