It was a cold Wednesday morning in the capital with the minimum temperature recorded three notches below average at 4.4 degrees Celsius. The Met Office has forecast light rains in the evening.
"There might be light rains in the city towards the evening," said the India Meteorological Department official.
According to the Northern Railway, 40 trains are running late and one was cancelled due to the moderate fog in the morning.
The day's maximum temperature is likely to hover around 19 degrees Celsius. Humidity at 8:30 a.m. was 100 percent.
Tuesday's maximum temperature was recorded three notches below the season's average at 17.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 6.1 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
