A police constable and at least three suspected militants were killed and six security personnel were injured in a clash in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provice, a media report said on Wednesday.
Suspected militants had gathered at a graveyard in Shewa village of Swabi district on Tuesday and were planning a terror act. Acting on a tip off, police launched a search operation, Dawn online reported.
Police were encircling the graveyard when the militants opened fire on them.
The residents of the area said the militants entered the house of a farmer near the graveyard when police chased them. The exchange of fire continued for some hours in which three militants and constable Syed Azim were killed and six policemen were injured.
