Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri, who has made films like "Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal" and "Buddha in a Traffic Jam", says quality of content will not matter in the Hindi film industry unless it matters to the stars.

Asked if content has taken a backseat in Bollywood, where filmmakers are more concerned about the numbers game, Agnihotri told IANS: "I think in the last ten years, I have never seen anybody bothered about content."

"Content means a film that makes a difference, it means it says something. I don't think content matters at all. Content won't matter unless it matters to the stars. Producers are helpless people... They don't dictate or guide content. It is dictated purely by stars."

Agnihotri's recent film, a love story titled "Junooniyat", hit the screens on Friday. He says it's the most difficult genre.

"I am very nervous. I have never been nervous with any of my other films because love story is the most difficult genre."

"The most difficult things in the world is to touch anybody's heart. It looks very simple because even I used to criticise the love story genre, but let me tell you... I think we need more love stories," Agnihotri added.

He, however, is not sure he will make another love story.

"Junooniyat" features Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam in the lead.
