Countdown to Abu Dhabi GP in full swing

Abu Dhabi, Sep 13 (IANS/WAM) The countdown for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is in full swing as ticket delivery for the Nov 3 race starts this week.

Starting Thursday, Formula 1 fans can look forward to getting their tickets for the Yas Marina Circuit race.

"It is around this time every year we begin delivery of our Abu Dhabi Grand Prix tickets. This year, for our fifth anniversary, we look to do something creative with our ticket packaging," said Yas Marina Circuit chief executive officer Richard Cregan.

Reflecting on an expanded programme which includes off-and-on track entertainment throughout the race weekend, this year's ticket packages feature a unique pop-up design incorporating a sampling of what is on offer across the Yas Island which includes the Yas Viceroy, Yas Marina, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and the new Yas Waterworld.

In addition to increased activities, a range of new ticket categories has been introduced.

The new categories -- Abu Dhabi Hill, Trackside Terrace, Marina Boxes, Yas Marina Tower, Yas Marina Bay Suite and the first ever Grand Prix Brunch -- will increase available seats by 5,000, bringing the total capacity of the circuit to 55,000.
