A court here on Wednesday deferred to June 5 the issue of framing of charges against former parliamentarian Dhananjay Singh and his wife in the case of death of their maid due to alleged torture.
Additional Sessions Judge Amit Bansal deferred the order for Friday, saying that it could not be prepared due to paucity of time.
The former BSP MP is out on bail, but his wife Jagriti is lodged in Tihar jail.
Dhananjay Singh, accused along with his wife of the maid's killing, was charge-sheeted on February 1 last year for destruction of evidence, abetment to murder and attempted murder.
