A CRPF trooper committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, an official said on Wednesday.
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper Manoj Kumar, who hailed from Haryana, consumed some poisonous substance at the force's Kakryal training camp on Tuesday evening, a police officer told IANS here.
He was rushed to a hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
A case has been registered, and an inquiry launched to find out the exact cause behind the extreme step, the official said.
