A court here on Tuesday asked Delhi Police to file response on a plea by AAP legislators, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, seeking to restrain the force from leaking information in the case related to the alleged assault of Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash in February.

"...it is prayed that the investigating agency, especially, additional DCP Harinder Singh, may be restrained from leaking the contents of the chargehseet to the media and from giving interviews in relation to the case," Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs' advocate Mohd Irshad requested Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Samar Vishal in the plea.

The court has asked the Delhi Police to file response on the plea and listed the matter for further hearing on August 25.

The Delhi Police on Monday filed a chargesheet against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his deputy Manish Sisodia and 11 other AAP MLAs for allegedly assaulting the Chief Secretary in February.

The chargesheet, filed in the Patiala House Court on the basis of investigation conducted on the complaint of Prakash, also names Amanatullah Khan, Prakash Jarwal, Nitin Tyagi, Rituraj Govind, Sanjeev Jha, Ajay Dutt, Rajesh Rishi, Rajesh Gupta, Madan Lal, Parveen Kumar and Dinesh Mohania.

The Chief Secretary had alleged that he was beaten up by AAP MLAs in the presence of Kejriwal at the Chief Minister's residence here on the night of February 19, where he had been called for a late-night meeting.
