Curfew continued without any relaxation for the third day in Jammu and Kashmir's Bhaderwah town in Doda district on Saturday. The curfew was imposed on Thursday after the body of a local, identified as Nayeem Shah, was recovered by the police.
"Curfew continued for the third day in Bhaderwah town. There is improvement in the situation and we are regularly reviewing it," officials said.
The police have refuted initial reports that Shah was killed by cow vigilantes. The police have constituted a five-member special investigation team (SIT) headed by a Superintendent of Police to investigate the murder of the civilian who was killed by a gunshot.
Army continues to assist the civilian administration in Bhaderwah to enforce curfew and maintain law and order.
