The CBI late Tuesday arrested customs superintendant S.H.Lingaraju at the Kempegowda International Airport on the city's outskirts for demanding and accepting Rs.2.5 lakh as bribe from a complainant, an official said on Wednesday.
"The accused was nabbed at the airport under relevant sections of t he Prevention of Corruption Act for asking bribe to clear a cargo of silk scarf from Malaysia," a CBI spokesperson told IANS.
A local court granted remanded the accused to three-day's police custody.
