Electronic music duo Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, together known as Daft Punk, made a London based mask maker Steve Lomas popular after flaunting his mask in their latest album "Random Access Memories".
Lomas and his wife, who were into mask making business, were hit by the recession. For survival, they started making it at home and Sony Music executive noticed them at a toy fair.
"We had our own mask making business but we were hit really hard by the recession and unfortunately we had to let it go... I woke up at about three o'clock in the morning, I couldn't sleep, came down to the kitchen, with a scissors and bits of cardboard. And till the morning by the kind of work done, I could make the most," Lomas said in a statement.
"This mask was seen by a Sony Music executive at a toy fair and according to him, it was perfect for Daft Punk's new album. My wife and I just looked at each other and we couldn't believe our luck," he added.
