Italian football great Alessandro Del Piero on Friday said Barcelona striker Neymar "has the future in front of him", adding that he is convinced that one day the Brazil captain will win the Ballon d'Or.
Neymar last year finished third in the FIFA Player of the Year race, behind Messi and Ronaldo, respectively.
"Neymar is young, he's still a young player, Messi and Ronaldo are at the top of their career," Efe quoted Del Piero as saying Goal.com.
"He has the future in front of him and by the way he has a great chance to win the Ballon d'Or in the future. Definitely yes," he added.
Asked whether he prefers Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, Del Piero said: "I have never answered this question in my life because it's too difficult to choose and too easy to choose at the same time.
"I can close my eyes and pick the one who's the best for me, both are incredible."
