Delhi Police Wednesday issued an order to all the banks here to enhance security at every Automated Teller Machine (ATM) to avoid robberies.
Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat told IANS the order was issued following several such incidents that occurred inside and outside ATMs.
Bhagat said banks are usually asked to depute a security guard at every ATM but this order includes some more precautionary measures.
"Banks have been asked to use shutter that gets locked once it is opened and place CCTV cameras at such an angle so it can take full image of a person entering an ATM," he said.
