A 35-year-old man, who worked as a conduit between fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim and people who placed bets on IPL, was arrested by Delhi Police from Mumbai, an official said here Wednesday.
Firoz was arrested in Mumbai the day before and presented before a Delhi court Wednesday, said a police official.
"The court sent Firoz to five days in police custody," he said.
Firoz is the 28th accused to be arrested in the spot fixing scandal that was exposed by Delhi Police last month. Those arrested included cricketer S. Sreesanth of Rajashtan Royals IPL team. Sreesanth is now out on bail.
