A criminal, who escaped from judicial custody and carried a bounty of Rs.50,000, was arrested here along with his associate in connection with several cases of murder and robbery, police said Monday.

Neeraj Pal alias Dheeraj, 25, an undertrial, and his associate Pradeep, 28, were arrested from north Delhi's G.T. Karnal Road area Sunday, police said.

"Pal had fled from judicial custody from Rohini court when he was being presented in a dacoity case March 30," said Sanjay Kumar, additional commissioner of police.

"After the escape, he organised his gang and committed contract killings, robberies and other heinous crimes in Delhi and neighbouring areas," said the official.
