Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Friday said her government is focusing on higher education of girls.

She was speaking at a function to inaugurate the new building and girls' hostel of Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women at Vasundhra Enclave in east Delhi.

Stressing the need for skill development, Dikshit said: "Skilled women can contribute substantially in economic development of the country."

Meanwhile, teachers in Delhi government schools thanked Dikshit for raising their retirement age to 65.
