Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung Wednesday reviewed the compliance of his directions to various hospitals in the capital, and asked the authorities concerned to maintain them on a "priority basis".
During a recent visit to Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital and Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Narayan Hospital, among others, Jung reviewed healthcare facilities and made concrete suggestions for improving medical facilities.
Jung has already given directions to turn GTB Hospital and LNJP Hospital into model hospitals.
"The lieutenant governor told the authorities that they ignore healthcare. It is a critical area for Delhi," said a state government official.
"He said that he wanted all agencies to come together and take care of these hospitals on a priority basis," the official added.
