) Hundreds of travellers on Delhi Metro's Jahangirpuri-HUDA City Centre line had a harrowing experience after a train got stuck in a tunnel during rush hour Tuesday morning. All the commuters on the train have been safely evacuated, an official said.

"Metro traffic on the Jahangirpuri-Huda City Centre line was affected as a train got stuck in a tunnel near the Udyog Bhawan station. Passengers in the snag-hit train were evacuated within 20 minutes," a Delhi Metro official told IANS.

The train got stuck due to a technical snag in a tunnel between the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan Metro stations in central Delhi on the busy Yellow Line around 9.45 a.m.

The trains in the parallel tunnel on the route are running as per schedule.
