A 35-year-old Delhi Police constable committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his residence, police said on Friday.

The body of Naresh Yadav, who was deputed at Delhi Police headquarters, was found hanging in his house in Rajokri village in south Delhi on Friday morning, a police officer said.

Yadav's family members informed police.

"We are yet to ascertain the reason behind the extreme step as he neither left any suicide note nor discussed his problem with any member of his family," the officer said.
